    Delete your Phinance data

    Last updated: June 7, 2026

This page explains how to delete your data in Phinance (developed by Phinance Inc.) without deleting your account. If you want to delete your entire account, see our account deletion page.

Delete individual data in the app

Most of your data — transactions, accounts, budgets, subscriptions, and scanned receipts — is stored locally on your device. You can delete any individual item directly in the app by opening it and choosing delete. Removing an item deletes it immediately; your account stays active.

Erase all data from your device

To remove all locally stored data while keeping your account:

    1. Open the app and go to Settings → Privacy → "Sign Out and Wipe This Device".
    2. Confirm. This erases all financial data stored on the device. You can sign back in at any time with the same account.

Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data from the device.

    Request deletion of synced data

Shared-expense ("split") data is stored on our servers. To request deletion of this data without deleting your account, email ceo.office@phinance.app from your account email with the subject "Delete my data". Requests are typically processed within 30 days.

What is deleted and what is kept

    • Deleted: the local data you remove on your device, and the synced shared-expense data associated with your account that you ask us to delete.
    • Kept: your account and profile (name, email) remain active so you can keep using the app. Shared-expense records may also remain visible to the other people you split with on their own accounts. We may retain limited data where required by law.
